What you have downloaded from the web is a compressed file that you need to unpack using one of the following methods:
winRAR or Total Commander 
Once this is done, you will see the Zessen2 folder (previously Zessen2.rar file), in which you will find a patcher.
IMPORTANT!! Do NOT put ANY MORE LETTERS in the name of the folder containing the game and the path to it,
may also be an error, for example, if you compress it in the C:\Program File folder, because these folders are almost all
In most cases, these folders require Administrator privileges, so the patcher will not download the necessary files.
Clicking on the patcher will launch the game and download the files needed for the client, which may take a while.
Once this is done, the game will start automatically.
If something prevents this, the following options may be available:
Make sure that the antivirus did not delete any files (e.g. GamePatcher)
The patcher has stopped working:
- Solution: download the 2 required programs from the website!
Download the patches from the downloaded files:
- Most often this happens on Win11. You may want to either extract the patcher from the rar file again
or
- Download the patcher below:
PATCHER
IMPORTANT! The patcher alone is not enough to run the game, you need the rest of the client, which is included in the Zessen2.rar file!
XYZ named ˝.dll˝ is missing:
- Copy it again from Zessen2.rar file after you have turned off the antivirus.
If a .dll file is missing that is not in the rar file, contact Gothar.

- Must be run as administrator!

The client has stopped working:
icon right-click - properties > compatibility > tick Run as administrator
- Workaround: turn off your firewall and antivirus, as they may block the client from starting.
The client will not start:

Patching required:
There are several possible causes for this ˝bug˝:
- The GMs are testing the server and it will be unavailable to you for a few minutes
- A mandatory patch is required and you did not start your client with the GamePatcher file.
- For some reason, the patcher did not download the new Zessen2.exe file:
Delete it from the client and restart the GamePatcher file.
